My recent visit to Turkey with Tribe Travel Tours was definitely the best holiday I have ever experienced. And I’ve travelled the world.
We visited so many different places, experienced so many different activities and met so many wonderful people. The Turks are a really warm and friendly people. Unlike a typical tour, where tour operators make their profits from delivering unsuspecting tourists to specific stores, hotels and restaurants, Tribe Travel Tours hand-picks its hotels and restaurants, choosing smaller properties that provide a more authentic Turkish experience.
This trip was a combination of education, exploration, experience, adventure and culinary delight.
I am already recommending Omer Yapis and Tribe Travel Tours to my friends and colleagues.

Just a brief impression of my trip to Turkey with Tribe Travel Tours:

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip and fell in love with Turkey. Our guide, Omer Yapis, was passionate about showing us his Turkey and was very helpful, attentive and extremely flexible. The food on the entire trip was just fantastic - so fresh and delicious and I didn't crave or want for anything nor was there any worry of stomach upset for any of us. The hotels we stayed in were so delightful and unique. Highlights included a hot air balloon trip over Cappadocia, exploring the markets of Istanbul as well as seeing the Topkapi Palace, cruising the Mediterranean sea on a Turkish sailboat (gulet), and exploring the amazing Ephesus - one of the seven wonders of the w

Before my recent Tribe Travel Trip, I knew next to nothing about Turkey: in the back of my mind I thought of Turkey as wonderfully exotic, the place where East meets west, of flying carpets and Turkish delight. After an incredible, intimate experience – where Tribe Travel owner Omer Yapis brought Turkey to life through wonderful stories, history, taking us to both the “must-see” destinations such as the Hagia Sofia and The Grand Bazaar, or off the beaten path and introducing us to food and flavors beyond the imagination. Some of the highlights included sailing the open sea in a gullet, eating fresh sea bass under the stars and diving off the boat into crystal clear waters, soaring over Cappadocia in a hot air balloon, seeing a landscape unlike any on this earth, and eating, eating and more eating! Now, I hear the call to prayer echoed in my dreams, I can still taste the fresh tomatoes olives and cherries, and I can only think of one thing: When can I get back to Turkey?
I’ve traveled the world and one thing is very obvious to me: now is the time to visit Turkey, before others discover what an incredible place this is and tourists beat down the path. But I’m comforted knowing that there is a company like Tribe Travel out there, who will always insist on travelers experiencing the real Turkey.
